摘要

網際網路 (Internet) 是近代最重要的資訊及通訊技術之一，網際網路的發展及普及不僅造就了知識的革命，它也宣告了資訊新時代的來臨。隨著網際網路逐漸被應用在學術研究、商業應用及國際間經濟貿易，90年代網際網路產業蓬勃發展，網際網路已逐漸成為一個普遍被使用的重要資訊及通訊技術，透過網際網路可以加速知識交換、累積，進而提昇技術水準，這個新技術使得經濟持續成長，內生成長理論因而崛起普遍地被討論及應用。

　本論文利用世界銀行資料庫所提供的資料，以201個國家橫跨1998年至2010年的Panel Data進行實證分析。首先，在內生成長模型下，網際網路使用對於人均所得的影響力，不管在整體樣本或各所得層級皆呈現顯著及正向關係。其次，實證結果發現網際網路使用存在內生性問題，故以固定電話線路及行動電話使用為工具變數並進行二階段最小平方法，以求更具解釋力的實證結果。最後，透過Pearson相關係數檢定發現網際網路使用與人均所得存在雙向因果關係，不旦網際網路使用對於人均所得具有顯著及正向的影響力，且人均所得對於網際網路使用也有顯著及正向的影響力。

Internet is one of the most important information and communicateions technologies in the modern world. The development of Internet has not only created a revolution in knowledge, it also declared that the generation of communication techonologies. As the Internet is gradually being used in academic research, business applications, and international economic and trade, the Internet has gradually become a widely used information and communication technology since 1990s. This new technology accelerates the distribution of ideas and information and foster competition and development of new proudcts, porcesses, and business models, thereby makes economic growth continued to grow.

In this paper, the raw data is all provided by the World Bank database. We test the effect of Internet usage on GNI per capita using an annual panel of 201 countries in 1998-2010. We find evidence that the Internet plays a positive and significant role in economic growth by control labor participation rate, secondary school enrollment rate and gross capital formation per capita in the growth equation. As Internet use exist the endogeneity, we use fixed telephone lines and mobile cellular subscriptions as instruments variables to run two-stage regression model in order to get more explanatory of empirical results. Last, this paper find reverse cauality existing between GNI per capita and internet use.
