本研究目的在瞭解臺中市居家式保母的適任性與托育服務品質的現況及其相關性,並進一步探討適任性對托育服務品質的預測力。本研究使用「保母適任性量表」與「保母托育服務品質量表」為研究工具,採立意抽樣方式抽取臺中市社區保母系統的552位保母人員為研究對象,回收有效量表為542份,可用率為98.19%。所得資料以描述性統計、t檢定、單因子變異數分析及多元迴歸進行資料分析。研究結果如下: 一、保母人員之整體「專業素養」、整體「適任特質」、整體「托育服務品質」表現屬中高程度。 二、不同背景變項的保母人員其專業素養的表現,將因其年齡、教育背景、隸屬區域、年資等之不同而有所不同;但不因其教育程度、收托人數、在職進修時數等之不同而有顯著差異。 三、不同背景變項的保母人員其適任特質的程度,將因其年資、在職進修時數等之不同而有所不同;但不因其年齡、教育程度、教育背景、隸屬區域、收托人數等之不同而有顯著差異。 四、不同背景變項的保母人員其托育服務品質的程度,將因其在職進修時數之不同而有所不同;但不因其年齡、教育程度、教育背景、隸屬區域、收托人數、年資等之不同而有顯著差異。 五、保母人員之專業素養與托育服務品質呈現正相關、適任特質與托育服務品質也呈正相關。表示保母人員專業素養程度越高,適任特質越佳,其所提供之托育服務品質就越理想。 六、保母人員之專業素養與適任特質對托育服務品質具有預測力,且以適任特質的解釋變異量較高。 最後依據研究結果,提出具體建議,提供保母人員與家長瞭解保母人員之適任性及其托育服務品質,同時提供保母主管機關修正未來托育相關政策之參考依據。
The purpose of this study was to understand the actual state and the correlations among professional skills, qualified characters, and service quality of family child care providers in Taichung City, as well as to further explore the prediction levels of service quality by their professional skills and qualified characters. The Qualification Scales of Childcare Providers and the Service Quality Scales of Childcare Providers were used to collect the data in the study. There were 552 subjects selected through purposive samplings from the child care providers in the communities of Taichung City, and the 542 responses were usable with the valid rate 98.19%. Data gathered were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA analysis, and multiple regression analysis,the results show that: 1.The overall levels of professional skills, qualified character andservice quality of child care are moderately high. 2.The professional skills of child care providers are varied by different personal background such as age, education, location, and working experiences; but no significant differences are found in education level, number of children cared and on-the-job training hours. 3.The levels of qualified characters of the child care providers are varied by different personal background in working experiences and on-the-job training hours; but no significant differences exist in different age, education level, educational background, location, and number of children cared. 4.The levels of service quality of the child care providers are varied by different personal background of their on-the-job training hours, but no significant differences are found in different age, education level, educational background, location, the number of children cared, and working experiences. 5.There are positive correlations between the professional skills and service quality, qualified characters and service quality, respectively. This suggests that the better their professional skills and qualified characters are, the better the service quality of child care providers is. 6.The professional skills and qualified characters could be used to predict the service quality of child care providers; in particular the qualified characters can explain most of variances. Finally, based on the findings, suggestions are made for parents and child care providers to understand better the qualified characters and the service quality, and at the same time, for authorities concerned to make educational policies in the future.
