Unlike previous research focus on the warrants pricing model or the impact of warrants listing on underlying stock, this study examines whether warrants trading activity can increase target firm value or its growth opportunity. The empirical results indicate that there is a significantly positive relation between warrants’ trading value and target firms’ Tobin’s Q. This result holds after controlling for endogeneity, alternative specifications for warrants trading activity and industry effect.
