“陽關道”與“獨木橋”?-“二元分立”的國小生活實踐邏輯

The Structurally Dual Relationship and Professional form of Teachers in Practice of Primary Schooling

摘要


為何國小教師是學校晨會中沉默的多數?為何「教學觀摩」和「學年或學科會議」被大多數教師認為是「形式多於實質」?為何教師和行政人員彼此以「他們」互稱對方?這些在學校中看似平凡且習以為常的現象,正透露了學校組織生活的深層結構特質和互動傾向。本文嘗試從「物理空間/社會空間/專業空間」三個面向探討學校成員社會連帶關係及互動形式,而暸解各自學校生活及專業習性之建構。本文強調台灣的小學雖呈金字塔形科層組織,實際學校生活卻呈現一種「二元分立」結構關係。不論是語詞使用、物理、社會空間等面向,皆透露「行政人員」和「教師」兩種不同社群。在此二元分立的結構關係下,教師之間以機械連帶關係建構其學校生活與專業習性。學校改造想從目前「行政人員主導」轉變為「學校人員共同經營」;教師從「侷限於教室的專業活動」轉向「關注整體學校的發展和動向」;專業經驗從「個別教室實務取向」轉向「理論與實務辯證的關係」,這些轉變無法僅仰賴法律訂定或行政手段達成。學校改造轉移到另一種新形式的學校生活,必有賴於現有「二元分立」結構關係、教師專業習性及世界觀的全面轉變。

The study aims to specify the deep structural principle that structurally shapes professional habitus of primary teachers and directs the their daily living forms in schooling context. The school organization was described in terms of the dual principle of structure that formation basic practice of two groups-administrative staff and teachers in daily schooling rather than traditionally united under the pyramid-form of hierarchy. The relationship of teachers in the principle of dual structure was represented isolated individualism of professional culture. Thus, the research suggests that current educational reform is seemed to challenge the fundamental principle that constructed the daily practice of primary schooling.
