醫學圖書館對COVID-19大流行的因應:掌握學習與研究資源以支持教職員工:以大同醫院為例

Medical Library's Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic: Prepared Learning and Research Resources, Online Technology to Supporting Faculty: A Case Study of Kaohsiung Municipal Ta-Tung Hospital in Taiwan

摘要


COVID-19疫情爆發至今(2021年02月24日),全球累計確診1.121億人,死亡248萬人,全球主要城市處於封鎖狀態,許多國家封閉圖書館或分批開放空間。在臺灣有946例確診病例,9例死亡、899解除隔離,臺灣堪稱防疫模範,沒有封城,商業活動接近正常,然而,醫療機構為COVID-19感染高風險,醫事人員被禁止出國、國際會議暫緩停擺。本研究個案(為臺灣教學醫院)-高雄市立大同醫院圖書館(下稱KMTTH醫圖),為了解決COVID-19大流行引起服務或運營改變,在網站上發布消息,通知教職員工如何遠距取用圖書資源、線上國際學術會議和教育訓練等。KMTTH醫圖網站引用WHO資源之COVID-19疫情世界地圖,收集臺灣中央流行疫情指揮中心的公共衛生資源,透過鏈接美國NLM策劃的全文COVID-19出版品、基因資料庫、臨床試驗資料,以利研究團隊開放取用COVID-19資料,並連結由出版社群、專業期刊針對COVID-19大流行提供之免費資源、實證資源,以指引COVID-19病人臨床診斷治療的最佳實務,以及教育與娛樂資源以紓解醫事人員壓力。KMTTH醫圖充分運用專業來組織權威資訊和資源,提高醫護人員的公共衛生意識,與出版社群合作提供COVID-19客製化檢索策略,支持各專科照護最佳實務及研究發表,以協助因應健康危機。

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic (Feb 24, 2021), a total of 112.1 million people have been diagnosed and 2.48 million deaths worldwide, and major cities around the world are in a state of blockade. In Taiwan, there have been 946 confirmed cases, 9 deaths, and 899 releases of isolation. As the global epidemic continues to heat up, John Hopkins University lists the library as a medium-high risk area. Many countries close libraries, open spaces in batches, wear masks to measure temperature, and provide fast service. Because medical institutions have a high risk of COVID-19 infection, medical staff may become ill or take care of sick relatives, work from home, prohibit travel abroad, suspend international academic conferences, delay non-urgent surgery or telemedicine. In an emergency, the medical library plays an important role in raising faculty health awareness and supporting medical researchers. In this case study (one teaching hospital in Taiwan), the Kaohsiung Municipal Ta-Tung Hospital (KMTTH) library describes how a digital services model and liaison relationships contributed towards online instruction, and new e-resources includes six aspects: improving faculty awareness of COVID-19 pandemic information channels, identify health information resources and websites, supporting research teams to share information and access materials, providing the latest research resources ebook collection or new electronic resources to keep pace with the needs of faculty, supporting clinical diagnosis of medical professionals, improve core routine services to keep pace with the needs of faculty, online international academic conferences, and relieve the fatigue and stress of medical staff in the COVID-19 pandemic.
