Arthroscopic Treatment for Recurrent Patellar Dislocation in Young Female Athletes a Case Report
年輕女運動員復發髕骨脫臼之關節鏡治療－病例報告

Recurrent patellar dislocation develops in one-third of young female athletes after the first episode. This article reports on arthroscopically assisted proximal realignment used on a 17-year-old female handball player to achieve good patellar stability and a prompt recovery. In comparison with a traditional open procedure, the arthroscopically assisted procedure provides a better esthetic outcome and lesser postoperative morbidity. Our experience is similar to that reported in the previous literature, but larger series are needed to draw definitive conclusions.
