精神科護理師對病人使用輔助與另類療法的認知、態度與溝通行為之相關性研究

摘要


目的:探討精神科護理師對病人使用輔助與另類療法的認知、態度與溝通行為之現況及相關性。方法:採橫斷式相關性研究,以精神專科教學醫院護理師為研究對象。於2016年2至6月以方便取樣回收225份,研究工具包括「基本特性」及「輔助與另類療法之認知、態度與溝通行為量表」進行資料收集,以SPSS18統計軟體進行資料分析。結果:研究發現22.2%精神科護理師自我使用過輔助與另類療法;10.7%一年內接受此療法教育訓練;8.4%使用此療法於護理照護;60.8%認同此療法;63.9%具正向態度;而對此療法的溝通行為認同度略低(55.9%)。各層面呈顯著正相關(p<0.001),顯示參與者對於輔助與另類療法的認知與態度愈正向,對輔助與另類療法的溝通行為就愈積極。結論:本研究發現輔助與另類療法的認知、態度及溝通行為呈正相關,故建議臨床實務面安排此療法的相關教育訓練,增進評估與討論,以促進精神科病人使用輔助與另類療法之安全性。

Purpose: This study is to explore psychiatric nurses' beliefs, attitudes and communicative behaviors related to patients' use of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) and its relationships. Methods: This correlational research with a cross-sectional design was used to investigate psychiatric nurses who worked in the psychiatry teaching hospital. A total of 225 convenience samples was recruited during Feb. to Apr. 2016. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data, including demographic characteristics, the knowledge, attitude, behavior on CAM. Data were analyzed with SPSS 18 statistical software. Results: Amongst the psychiatric nurses, 22.2% of them have used CAM and 10.7% have received CAM education in the past year, but only 8.4% have practiced CAM in clinical settings. Among 60.8% of participants believed in CAM;63.9% hold positive attitudes towards CAM; however, the communicative behaviors to CAM remained low (55.9%). Each domain was significantly positive correlated (p <0.001) which indicated that participants who have higher level of beliefs and attitudes towards CAM were more positive communicative behaviors to patients' CAM use. Conclusion/Implications for Practice: This study found the positive relationships between beliefs, attitudes and communicative behaviors of CAM. It is recommended that the practical trainings for CAM education should be arranged initiatively to implement the assessment and discussion of CAM in clinical practice in order to promote the safety of psychiatric patients' CAM use.
