This article draws on the theory of Carol Pearson's "the Hero Within" from Jungian psychology to explore the "Heroic Journey" of Bei Dao's poetry, and some details and transformations of his personal growth history. In the discussion at different stages, this article also adopts the writing style of character commentary, combines important historical materials of poetry and nostalgic prose of the Cultural Revolution, moderately reconstruct the cultural context of the past, and then start from Zhao Zhenkai, a young man at the center of the Cultural Revolution, and then discuss the ideological impact of Yu Luoke's martyrdom on Beidao's poetry. Back in Tiananmen Square, like a mythical warrior, challenge the dragon that symbolizes the official discourse and social system. In general, this article covers the period from 1965 to 1989, focusing on Bei Dao's growth story about his "Hero Archetype" during his time in China.
