The skin manifestation of a disease can often be easily observed from outside. A better understanding of the skin-related characteristics of the COVID-19 helps the first-line medical staff increase alertness and ensure a better medical service. Given this, we collected and reviewed the skin-related characteristics of COVID-19 infected people, and to share the experiences with firstline caregivers, including home-based medical care and telemedicine caregivers. These features include maculopapular rash, urticaria, chilblain-like changes, vesicles, livedo reticularis, and petechiae. Although these skin manifestations cannot be used as a basis for diagnosis, however, when combined with a systematic evaluation, they help differentiate the diagnosis and improve medical care quality, ultimately strengthening the health care safety-net.
