運用概念圖於五專新生護理學導論之教學

The Use of Concept Maps in the First-Year Junior College Course, "Introduction to Nursing"

摘要


本研究運用概念圖於護理學導論課程教學中,探討學生學習概念圖之態度及其對護理概念之理解;以某醫事學院護理科五專一年級146位學生為對象,學生於課程中建構一份團體概念圖及二份個別概念圖,在課程完成後填寫概念圖學習態度問卷,並繳交學習心得。學習態度及概念圖採量性分析,學習心得則進行內容分析。研究結果發現:(1)學生對學習概念圖持正面態度(M=4.89)。(2)團體與個別概念圖呈現出學生對「護理理念」與「護理人員角色功能」二概念之理解情形。(3)學習心得顯示學生對概念圖的肯定及對護理的正向思考。以上結果呈現出概念圖適用於五專新生護理學導論之教學。

In this study, concept maps were used in teaching the course, Introduction to Nursing. The purposes were to explore the students' attitude toward concept maps and their conceptual understanding of nursing with the aid of concept maps. The participants were 146 first-year junior college nursing students at a medical college of technology. The students constructed one group concept map and two individual concept maps over a period of more than one semester. They also completed a concept map attitude questionnaire and wrote comments about their experience at the end of the course. The questionnaires and concept maps were analyzed quantitatively, and the comments were treated with content analysis. The results indicated that: (1) The students responded positively toward concept maps (M=4.89). (2) Both group maps and individual maps demonstrated students' conceptual understanding of nursing philosophy and the role and function of nurses. (3) The students' comments revealed their affirmation of concept maps and positive thinking toward nursing. The findings indicate that the teaching of concept maps is useful in empowering first-year junior college nursing students of the Introduction to Nursing course.
