目的:本研究的目的是探討運動代表隊隊員透過改變訓練情境對於英文學習投入的變化情形。方法:本研究參與者為花蓮市某科大女籃隊隊員為對象,以「英語學習投入量表」來檢測隊員在情境介入前、後英文學習投入的變化,並以相依樣本t-test檢定來分析其改變;以觀察法與焦點訪談法來記錄訓練時使用英文溝通的情形,並訪談隊員們的英文授課老師來檢核隊員們在英文課上的學習情形及表現作為最後學習成效的檢核。結果:研究結果顯示,一、在英文投入情形上,除了行為投入外,其餘分量表及總分上差異皆達顯著水準,顯示學生在英文投入情形上有顯著的提升;二、研究過程中,隊員們從不太敢開口,到抗拒反彈再到妥協,到最後開始在球場上用英文喊籃球術語;三、英語授課老師指出,部分隊員有所改變,但仍有部分隊員不為所動。結論:本研究之結論為以英文學習情境融入訓練中,對於學生的學習投入情形將有所影響。
Purpose: The purpose of current study was to investigate the effect via the changing of training context in basketball team for student's engagement with English situational teaching. Methods: The participants were women basketball team players of one university of science and technology in Hualien city. The English learning engagement scale was used to examine the varies pre-test and post-test the contextual intervention; paired-samples t-test was used to complete the analysis. Observation and focus group interview were used to collect data and records of English communication during training. In order to ensure the overall learning quality, English lecturers were also interviewed to examine the learning and performance of player. Results: The results were: 1. For English learning engagement, behavioral engagement, other subscales were significantly different between before and after scores. 2. Within the intervention, players were reluctant to speak out in the beginning, however, after experiencing resistance and compromise, the players were willing to speak out English basketball terms eventually. 3. The English teachers indicated there were still some player are reluctant to speak English in field. Conclusions: The study revealed positive effect for learning engagement by the integration of English teaching in training context.
