從籃球場館演變看台灣早期籃球運動之發展（1947－1963）

摘要

早期台灣籃球運動曾發展出一波高潮期，包括從依社群所劃分的軍中籃球、社會籃球、校園籃球，以及女子籃球等，都各具特色。本研究從籃球場館的演變，論述台灣籃球運動的發展脈絡，了解台灣早期籃球運動發展的盛況。運動場地是體育活動最重要的基本條件之一，1947－1963年之間，從新公園球場、鐵路局鄭州路籃球場、憲四團球場、三軍球場、國際學舍體育館、公賣局體育館、兒童樂園體育館，以及中華體育館的相繼啟用，正串連成一部台灣早期的籃球運動發展史。而從每一個籃球場館的興建，反之可觀察當時其特殊的時代背景，光復初期，由於整個社會尚在起步階段，政府無暇全面地兼顧運動的發展，軍中籃球成為一奇特的發展主軸，因此，這一時期的主要籃球場地，都不脫軍中色彩，軍隊的主導性相當強，多由其籌畫興建。從籃球場館的演變，研究發現：透過籃球競賽的舉辦，籃球的運動人口和球迷成長迅速，造成球場觀眾容納量不足，加上籃球賽事愈形盛大，都是促成籃球場館淘汰換新的關鍵動力。直到1963年中華體育館的落成，台灣才算是真正有一大型的運動場館，亦標示著另一個熱潮的起點開始。

Taiwan's early basketball games once did hit a period of climax. Basketball teams existed in different social groups, such as the military, local communities, school campuses, and women's basketball, each with singular particularity. This research explains the development pathway of basketball in Taiwan from the evolution of courts and halls of basketball. From that, we are to understand the early situation of the sport. The sports ground is considered the most essential requirement for athletic activities during the period from 1947 to 1963. The initiating uses of fields including the New Park Court, the Railroad Cheng-Chou Basketball Court, the Military Police Court, the Tri-Forces Court, the International School Campus Hall, the Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Gym, the Amusement Park Gym, and the China Gym have all together established Taiwan's earlier history of basketball development. From each of the basketball court and hall constructions, we could notice the special temporal context. During the initial stage of the restoration era, the government had no time to deal with recreational issues. The main stream of games was the basketball games held inside the military. Hence, the military become somewhat involved in all of the constructions of major basketball courts, especially when people considered the army to be good at planning constructions. As this research noticed from the evolution of basketball courts and halls, given the number of games held, the number of players and fans have increased significantly which resulted in the insufficiency of the number of seats in courts and halls, hence lead to the elimination of old courts and halls. Until the completion of a large-scaled hall-the China National Gymnasium-in 1963, Taiwan has finally entered a brand new era.
