Every museum possesses unique conditions for establishment based on classification, budgeting, collection, architecture and environment. The organizational structure of one museum might not be suitable for another museum. Therefore, each museum should take its characteristics and needs into consideration when developing an organizational structure that can further its functions and purposes. Four newly established museums in Taipei County each have their distinguishing features and are seen as the nucleus of development for each of the towns in which they are located. This essay uses the Yingge Ceramics Museum, Shisanhang Museum of Archeology, Museum of Gold, and the Danshui Historic Museum as examples. Through the study of construction budgets, operating expenses, and visitor statistics, this essay will discuss the relationship between organization structural trends, functions and operation. This essay seeks to provide museum administrators and personnel with valuable suggestions for staff organization and operation.
