In this research, I combined the record of archaeological excavation, the detailed information of unearthed Anping jars with previous Anping jar studies done by predecessors. Firstly I looked back upon Anping jar findings in Taiwan, outside Taiwan and in underwater excavation, and also looked into the dating issues. Secondly I concluded the dating of Anping jars in Kiwulan site should be before mid-17th century from considering mouth outer characters, glaze and material characters and sizes by different classification methods. Thirdly discussed the possible ways Anping jars entered into Kiwulan site with historical documents of Kavalan region after 17th century. In conclusion, this research revealed the fact that the importance of Anping jars found in Kiwulan Site were not just because the large amount in tomb structures but also in living layers. Furthermore, Kiwulan people might started to import Anping jars before the enter of European colonizers. Over all, Anping jars found in Kiwulan site showed the influence of Chinese culture and the economic development of Kiwulan, and the political and trading relation between Kiwulan aboriginal people and European colonizers as well.
