我國第三代行動通訊產業研發及製造競爭力分析-以Q公司為例

摘要


行動通訊之手機產業為目前快速成長的產業。目前行動通訊技術已進入第三代行動通訊(3G),整個產業的供應鏈正快速的往3G規格移動以掌握市場商機。本研究擬探討我國第三代行動通訊產業研發及製造競爭力,並以Q公司為例,藉由對現行產業的分析,以及探討企業在面對競爭的環境上,如何彈性和快速的提供產品和服務,以增加客戶滿意度,進而保有優勢和生產獲利,並期望以大量客製化的理念,輔以良好的製造與供應鏈管理,提出一個新的企業經營模式,以期達成促進企業生產管理的運作和強化企業的競爭力。 第三代行動通訊產業特色整理如下:(1). 投資成本高昂 (2). 規格朝整合及逐步標準化發展 (3).應用性廣泛地與相機、MP3、衛星導航等消費電子結合提供多元功能。 在產業競爭力分析方面,研究主要發現結果如下: (1) 台灣擁有優良的產業環境基礎建設、完整的的產品供應鏈及資本市場的充份支援,在低成本的代工製造能力擁有傑出的競爭優勢條件。 (2) 台灣廠商投入手機代工業者眾多,在追求經濟規模及提升競爭力的前題下,企業間的策略聯盟及合併將持續進行。 (3) 台灣廠商在手機代工領域前景可期,但在代工業低毛利的宿命下,部份廠商走向品牌之路,朝不一樣的方向及目標規劃。 (4) Q公司無線通訊事業部門成立六年,因無法達到產業經濟規模而面臨轉型。採取的策略為: 1) 調整客戶結構,積極耕耘營運商等毛利較高的客戶。 2) 調整產品線結構,以智慧型手機及3G手機為未來開發重點。 3) 加強產業聯盟策略以加速新技術的導入,強化競爭力。 如PC產業模式,手機產業正成為台灣經濟發展另一股重要的動力。台灣廠商擁有優秀的產品設計人才,優良的產業供應鏈及生產管理,在手機市場上已佔有相當重要的地位,但台灣廠商目前的競爭優勢仍著墨在代工,缺乏上游關鍵技術的掌握及下游品牌的行銷。因此,產業核心價值的建立將是刻不容緩的課題。 關鍵字:第三代行動通訊(3G)、競爭分析、手機、代工

Mobile phone has been the fastest growing industry in the market. The mobile phone technology has up-grated to 3G (the 3rd generation mobile telecommunication)currently,the whole supply chains of the industry are moving toward 3G rapidly to seize the business opportunities。With the case study of Q company, the main intention of this thesis is to analyze the competitiveness of Taiwan OEM/ODM manufactures in 3G telecommunication industry。By the analysis of market research and how to keep flexibility to deliver product and provide service to improve customer satisfaction and profit when enterprise facing competitions,here we expect to come out a new business model with mass custom design concept by excellent manufacturing process and supply chain management in order to contribute the enterprise operation and competitiveness。 The characters of the 3rd generation telecommunication are summarized as follows:(1) High cost investment (2) Integration and Standardization trends for 3G specification development (3) Technologies of consumer product such as camera、MP3、GPS are applied widely to 3G to support various functions。 The major findings from the industry competitiveness analysis are as below: (1) There are excellent industry infrastructure as well as comprehensive supply chains in Taiwan,the competitiveness of Taiwan in low cost product is outstanding。 (2) There are lots of manufacturers in mobile phone OEM/ODM business in Taiwan, the strategy of alliance and merge among manufacturers will keep going to enhance their competitiveness and economy size。 (3) The future of mobile phone OEM/ODM business is promising in Taiwan, however, some enterprises are managing their business model by own-brand to avoid low profit from OEM/ODM。 (4) WBU was established since year 2000,the management strategy is forced to be changed due to the failure of reaching economy size in the industry。 Actions are: 1) Customer base adjustment,more focus on operators for higher profit。 2) Product development plan adjustment,more focus on smart phone/PDA phone and 3G。 2) keep strategy alliance with partners for phasing-in new technology to enhance competitiveness。 As PC industry,the mobile phone is becoming another important industry for Taiwan economy。 Taiwan OEM/ODM manufacturers play an important role in global market as there are well-performed product designers as well as excellent supply chain and production management gathered。However,the advantage of Taiwan manufacturers still focuses on OEM/ODM business lacking core technology and branding,to find the core value of mobile phone industry will be the most critical issue。 Key words:3G (the 3rd generation telecommunication)、The Competitiveness Analysis、Mobile Phone、OEM/ODM
