摘要

There is close relationship between human ageing and the structural degeneration of the sex glands. It is generally considered that after the age of 50 the male sex glands begin to go through a process of structural and functional decline. During this time a series of various symptoms can manifest such as changes in moods, mental states, ambition, mental vigor, concentration, appetite, physical strength and sexual desire, these changes are referred to as male climacteric. In order to obtain satisfactory results the treatment of this syndrome with Chinese medicine follows the principle of identifying pattern and determining treatment according to pathological changes.
