園藝活動對大學生福祉效益之研究

The Improvement of Well-Beings in College Students through Interaction with Horticultural Activities

摘要


近年來台灣的大學生罹患憂鬱症比率是各種不同年齡層中最高的。許多研究都指出園藝治療對學生之生心理健康有莫大的助益。因此本研究之目的乃藉由園藝治療活動來了解大學生的福祉是否有助益。本研究以中國文化大學的學生做為研究對象,舉辦七週的園藝治療活動。結果發現在七週的活動後,八位參與者不論在園藝技能、增進自信心、舒緩壓力情緒、以及社交技巧上,都有顯著增進,而且進入療癒庭園都感到愉悅。在所有園藝治療課程中以花藝設計及壓花課程最顯著讓參與者喜愛。本研究利用園藝治療活動增進學生情緒管理在台灣是先驅研究且成效良好,可以作為未來大學院校內學生心理輔導中心,以及特殊或心理教育領域的學術研究一個輔助參考。

Depression is a common mental disorder. These problems can become chronic and lead to suicide. The lack of self-emotional management of university students in Taiwan becomes a serious problem in recent years. Many researches revealed that pleasing landscape surroundings helped human in psychophysical health. The objective of this study thus wants to know how the horticultural therapy activities and healing gardens help people manage their stress. The study was based on questionnaires that were completed before and after 7 weeks of conducting horticultural activities. The study revealed that healing garden could help experiencing anticipants to deal with stress. Our research also found that clients gained benefits in horticultural skills, self-confidences, emotional management and social skills.
