The study explores how elderly volunteers define their successful aging process and what is the most important motivation behind participating charity work. To give advice for people with medical background in community service and social work, we expect to reach the results of offering good care and what senior people's need for healthy to successful aging. Methods: The research discovered articles domestically and internationally by revealing the information and facts about aging theories, productive aging and volunteer activities. After completing the main questions that needs to be discussed, the researchers participated 2007 Christmas eve and interviewed with four senior volunteers to find out their opinions about how they thought on the subject. By referring to Maslow's Need-Hierarchy Theory, the interviews develop topic coding for causal relationship. Results: The initial findings of the study reveal that senior people who born in difficult times are more satisfied in their lives and have praised highly for the way their aging process. As for the people with higher self-satisfaction for life, they tend to be willingly to share life experiences they had been through. Those older people even think that a remarkable achievement has been fulfilled by their volunteering charity activities. Conclusion: The older generations of personal backgrounds are initially mentioned, which can be learned from life stories and events and think more carefully about older generation, children in need and young volunteers. It is also useful to improve the activity design on different levels such as health, secure, socialization, respect, and self-achievement level. It should be helpful to increase self-satisfaction for older generation to behave in a particular way toward aging process.
