聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯/蒙托石複合材料及聚苯乙烯/蒙托石複合材料之製備

摘要


本研究利用無機礦物蒙脫石與高分子PMMA(聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯)分別以熔融混摻法、溶劑鑄造法、溶劑/非溶劑共沉澱法製備PMMA/蒙脫石複合材料。藉由GPC測量高分子材料經過熔融製程的分子量變化,利用XRD分析複合材料中蒙脫石的結構,以TGA判定材料熱穩定性,使用DSC分析材料的玻璃轉移溫度,並利用儀器測量複合材料的拉伸強度、楊氏係數、衝擊破裂強度等機械性質。 本研究的另一個主題是採用乳化聚合方式,將苯乙烯單體與蒙脫石製備成PS(聚苯乙烯)/蒙脫石複合材料。並以SEM觀察複合材料的型態及尺寸大小,使用XRD分析複合材料中蒙脫石的結構,並以TGA測定其熱裂解溫度。 本實驗的主要目的是想藉由不同高分子/蒙脫石的製備方式,探討不同複合材料的物理性質與熱穩定性質。

PMMA/clay composites were prepared with poly(methyl methacrylate) and PEO-modified clay by melt blending, solvent casting and solvent/non-solvent precipitating. The PMMA molecular weight of these composites were observed by GPC. The thermal degradation and the glass transition temperature were studied by TGA and DSC. The clay structure of these composites was characterized by XRD. Then the mechanical properties, tensile strength and impact resistance, were studied by some instrument. Another subject is PS/clay composite what was prepared with styrene monomer and modified-clay by emulsion polymerization. The morphology of PS/clay composite was observed by SEM. The clay structure of PS/clay composite was characterized by XRD. And the thermal analysis was studied by TGA. Moreover, the physical properties and the thermal stability of these different polymer/clay composites were investigated in this paper.
