台灣兒童消費現象 -以手機為例 學生:葉蓁蓁 指導教授:王俐容 博士 元 智 大 學 資 訊 社 會 學 研 究 所 摘 要 本研究主要探討國小六年級兒童的手機消費行為。在理論的運用上本研究以Bourdieu的文化消費理論為主軸,並運用不同的學者對兒童手機消費做詮釋分析,主要運用Marx的資本主義消費理論、Baudrillard的符號消費、Veblen的炫耀性消費,本研究整合不同學者的觀點來詮釋現今國小六年級兒童對手機的消費現象,以此作為兒童手機消費的分析架構。 研究方法主要是運用深度訪談法與問卷調查法為主。主要研究發現:(1)當初購買手機時所宣稱的理由與使用手機的實際狀況是有落差的;(2)父母是影響國小六年級兒童手機購買的最主要關鍵,廣告媒體及同儕亦會形成一定程度的影響。(3)本研究亦發現該時期的兒童手機消費是符合 Bourdieu 的社會資本論述,但文化資本是相對缺乏,影響是比較少的,所以從大人的消費理論來看兒童消費行為是呈現衝突狀態。 關鍵字:兒童、消費、手機、社會資本
The consumption phenomenon of children in Taiwan -The case of “mobile phone” Student:Chen-chen Yeh Advisors:Dr. Li-jung Wang Submitted to Institute of Social Informatics Yuan Ze University ABSTRACT This study aims at investigating the mobile phone consumption behavior of children of 6th grade in the elementary school. In the theoretical application aspect, this study adopts the cultural consumption theory of Bourdieu as the main axis and use the explanation and analysis from different scholars on the mobile phone consumption of children; for example, the theoretical application includes the adoption of capitalism consumption theory of the Marx, the symbol consumption of Baudrillard, the swanky consumption of Veblen; in this study, view points from different scholars are integrated to explain the mobile phone consumption phenomenon from children of the 6th grade in the elementary school, the result is going to be used as the analysis structure of the mobile phone consumption among children. The major research methods are in-depth interview and questionnaire survey method. And the major results are: (1) The excuse claimed at the time of the purchase of mobile phone is different than the real situation of using the mobile; (2) Parents are the keys that affect the purchase of the mobile phone by the children of 6th grade in the elementary school; advertisement media and peers will also have certain degree of influence. (3) It is also found that the mobile phone consumption of children at that time meets the social capital statement of Bourdieu, but the culture capital is relatively insufficient and the influence is relatively few; therefore, if you take a look on children’s consumption behavior from adult’s consumption theory, the result is a conflict status.
