This study examines whether business type (OBM/ODM/OEM) experience, supplier and customer experience, and international experience influence firm innovation performance. This study uses Taiwanese electronics industry between 1998 and 2008 as research sample. The results of this study show that OBM, ODM, and OEM experience positively influences lagged one-year patent quantity, respectively. Besides, supplier-affiliate experience positively influences lagged one-year patent quantity. Finally, international manufacturing activity has a positive impact on lagged one-year patent quantity.
