Honestly speaking, after the birth of the People's Republic of China (PRC), the Taiwan Strait remains the locus of the most dangerous military confrontations in the world. As is generally recognized, China is currently engaged in a comprehensive military modernization. Ellis Joffe argued that no issue is more volatile in East Asia today than the triangular relationship between China, Taiwan, and the United States. Since the end of the Cold War, the ”China threat” issue has appeared creating heated debate; the debate originated due to the behavior of China in the post-Cold War era.
