The necessity of adjusting racket weight is illustrated using examples from professional players' rackets. The process and empirical evidence of adjusting racket weight are detailed, along with explanations of hitting data before and after adjusting racket weight during racket diagnostics activities for young tennis players. With a wide range of tennis racket options available on the market, ranging from 260 grams to 340 grams, the balance, weight, and swing weight of the racket are crucial considerations for coaches, parents, and players when selecting a racket. This article provides guidance for consideration before adjusting racket weight.
