摘要

性傾向和性別認同的平等，是長期被忽略的性別議題。因此，同志友善醫療也因此成為一個重要的多元性別平權的指標與基礎。同志友善醫療，就是在醫療中能夠考量同志社群的個別性與特殊性，予以尊重，並提供專業且適當的醫療模式。美國知名的同志友善大型非政府組織Human Rights Campaign，自2007年起每年舉辦的同志友善醫院評鑑：「健康照護平權指標（Healthcare Equality Index, HEI）」，在2013年共有50州超過718間醫療院所主動參加，其成效卓著且廣受好評，值得台灣醫療界作為借鏡。其中的四大同志友善醫療核心指標：不歧視同志病患、同志探病、不歧視同志員工、同志照護教育訓練，更是現階段台灣同志迫切需要的同志友善醫療保障。因此，台灣醫界應發展出在地化，適合台灣醫療體系的同志友善醫療，並透過醫院評鑑更加落實，創造一個更多元、親切、友善的醫療環境。

The equality among the diversities of sexual orientation and sexual identity has been long-termed ignored and disregarded in Taiwan society. Therefore, the equality of medical and healthcare services regarding the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) individuals is the basis of creating a more LGBT friendly atmosphere. LGBT friendly healthcare is the unique and professional healthcare practice provided for the LGBT individuals under the basis of equality and respect. A representing nongovernment organization, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation in the USA, had performed an annual national survey, the Healthcare Equality Index, over LGBT friendly healthcare services since 2007, and had been very demonstrative and inspiring to the Taiwanese medical society. The four core indexes: Patient Non-Discrimination Policies, Visitation Policies, Employment Non-discrimination Policies, and Training in the LGBT Patient-Centered Care, are the key points that worth ample attention. Therefore, we look forward in the future that a localized and system-based LGBT friendly healthcare system can be set up in Taiwan.
