自由中國參加第二屆世界杯籃球賽的歷史敘事

本研究旨在探究1954年自由中國參加世界杯籃球賽的歷史。藉由蒐集相關書籍、報章雜誌與訪談等史料進行歷史敘述。研究結論如下：1954年是國民政府遷臺以來籃球運動戰蹟最輝煌的一刻。教練與球員經由舊的籃球記憶轉化為新的地方情感，雖然面臨是否組隊參賽、經費拮据、人力不足等問題；但最後終能成行並歷經了三個多月的比賽與訪問行程，展現了教練與球員無比的精神與毅力。特別是，在國共交戰的背景之下，榮獲世界第五名的佳績；另一個地方與記憶開始深根，歷史的意義獲得體現。總而言之，透過歷史的敘述，自由中國參加第二屆世界杯籃球賽的歷史得以再現，激發更多的想像。

The purpose of this historical research was to investigate the fact that Free China in participating the 2nd World Basketball Championship in 1954. In order to thoroughly inquire and narrative, the author has collected the mainstream newspapers, discussion documentaries, books, related periodical papers and interviews on these topics. The observations were as follows: the year 1954 was the time that the Chinese basketball team performed the best ever since Republic of China (R.O.C.) government took office in Taiwan. Coaches and players transformed the old memories of the basketball into new affection for the new place. Although facing many problems such as, whether participating the game or not, lacking of money and human resource etc, they managed to make the trip comes true and experienced three-month journey of playing games and learning. They truly demonstrated unparalleled spirit and perseverance and were awarded with 5th place under the harsh background of the conflict between the KMT (Kuomintang) and CP (Communist Party). Another great historical moment was participated and started to strengthen the connection of memories and the new place. To conclude, through historical narrative, the history of Chinese basketball team in the 2nd World Basketball Championship will be represented and inspire more imagination.
