摘要

引進埃及野麻嬰進行適應性觀察，探討其種植適期、採收嫩梢長度、肥培管理要點及市場發展潛力，供為教育和推廣之依據。由83、84年試驗觀察結果，4～6月為埃及野麻嬰種植適期，8月份以後種植者，因受日照變短，夜溫下降影響，植株容易抽蕾開花，葉片變窄而細小，缺乏商品價值，為不適種植時期。嫩梢採收長度，無論採摘長度是10、15或20 cm，其對產量影響差異不大，如就採摘難易區分，以10～15 cm長較方便。

The observation trial for newly introduced vegetable - jew's mallow was conducted at Puli station, evaluate the suitable planting date, harvesting shoot length, fertilizer response and marketing potential. The result of trial at 1994 - 1995 indicated that April to June is the suitable planting period. Those planting after August will resulted in bolting plants and slender leaves without marketing value due to shorter day length and lower night temperature. The harvesting shoot length at 10, 15 or 20 cm have not effect on yield. The shoot length of 10-15 cm is very convenient for harvesting.
