小型風力發電機於植物工廠的應用

The Application of Small Wind Turbines for a Plant Factory

摘要


風力為永續能源的一種。在某些風場中,有相當豐富的風能可供利用。與太陽能不同,無日夜固定的斷續,但也有類似的不持續性。植物工廠巨幅節約水源,使植物得以於控制環境中生長,產出無農藥、毒害的作物。然而,能源消耗左右植物工廠的獲利。本研究於植物工廠附近設置小型風力發電機四座,共有發電容量800W。同時設置發電功率與氣象監測站,持續記錄發電與環境狀態。配合使用自行研製的自動轉換開關,將風力發電所得電能供給植物工廠內的發光二極體(LED)光源作為作物光照使用。結果顯示即使於風場偏低且不穩定的都會區內,小型風力發電機仍能有效替代12~16%的植物工廠光照電能消耗。

Wind power is a kind of sustainable energy. In some wind fields, huge amounts of energy can be extracted. Differing from the regular intermittence of the solar energy, wind power surfers from irregularity. Growing plants in plant factories significantly conserves water usage. Plants grown in a controlled environment can be pesticide-free and poison-free. However, the energy consumption for lighting and air-conditioning affect the profitability of a plant factory. In this study, 4 small wind turbines with full capacity of 800 W were installed. A monitoring station for power generation and meteorological information was also established. Using the self-developed automatic transfer switch, energy generated from the wind turbines was then sent to the LED light source inside the plant factory. It was found that even in a weak and unstable wind field in a metropolitan area, small wind turbines can reduce the energy consumed for lighting inside of the plant factory by around 12 to 16%.
