從八十年代初香港作家的中國遊記論本土的身份認同－以《素葉文學》為例

China Travel Writings in Early 1980s Hong Kong and Cultural Identity: A Study on the Su Yeh Literature

摘要

八十年代初因應中國開放觀光旅遊，大量的中國遊記伴隨不少思考中港關係的小說湧現香港文壇。研究這批文本令香港文學久經鞏固的本土本位思考顯得過份簡化，本文欲重新提出「中國性」如何與本土認同構成複雜的關係。現有相關研究稀少，回到刊物現場整理這段時間的文壇面貌是重要的第一步。本文以八、九十年代香港非常重要及具代表性的純文學雜誌《素葉文學》（1980－2000）以及素葉同人的結集書籍（不限於素葉出版社）為考察範圍，整理其上各種形態的旅行文本，借用文化身份理論及旅行理論，企圖解答以下問題：旅行所引發的身份認同的反思和流變；香港如何想像和理解中國，所呈現的中國圖象在華文文學同類題材的文本中有何特色；旅行文本如何反映本土和旅行的關係。由此嘗試修正香港文化論述的「去中國化」傾向，重新展現晚近本土概念狹隘化之前香港作家的文化版圖。

As mainland China opened up tourism in the 1980s, numbers of travel writings were published with novels re-thinking the relationship between China and Hong Kong. The article proposes the Chineseness in Hong Kong literature has a complicated relationship with local identity. As there are few relevant studies, it is important to comb through the journals during the early 1980s. The article analyzes the various kinds of travel writings in this journal Su Yeh Literature (1980-2000), a representative literary magazine in Hong Kong. It explores the changes of Hong Kong writers' identification and tries to answer how Hong Kong writers imagine and interpret China, how the features of China's image in Hong Kong literature differ from those in sinophone works that have the same themes, and how travel writings reflect the relationship between local culture and traveling. Thus it revises the de- Chinesenization of current academic studies and reconstructs Hong Kong writers' cultural domain before the concept of local culture narrowed down lately.
