The Relationship of Alkaline Phosphatase and the Reproductive Activity in Dairy Goats

乳山羊鹼性磷酸酶與繁殖活性之相關性

摘要

Limited information is available on the activity of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) at different stages of estrus cycle and pregnancy in goats. ALP of genital tract origin forms part of total activity in serum ALP. This study firstly analyzed the biochemical values in dairy does at different stages of pregnancy. Then, for the clinically healthy goats, controlled internal drug release (CIDR) devices containing progesterone were inserted to investigate the change of the activity of serum ALP. The activity of ALP collected from the vaginal tract on a wing of the CIDR device was evaluated. The results showed the ALP activity varies over a wide range, especially during pregnancy and postpartum. When samples of serum had been heated at 65℃ for 30 min, the percentage of ALP activity in parous does with CIDR insertion (31.66±15.73%) was significant higher than that in maiden does (14.15±2.91%) (<0.005). ALP activity of samples collected from the genital tract in those parous does (272.94±83.37 mU/wing) were higher than that in maiden does (44.0±26.01 mU/wing) (<0.001). The study concluded the ALP activity in serum and in genital tract is higher in parous does compared with that in virgin does stimulated by CIDR devices.
