公衛護士接受精神衛生教育之成效

The Effectiveness of a Psychiatric Health Education Program for Public Health Nurses

摘要


本研究的目的在探討「精神衛生教育」方案,對於增進公衛護士精神疾病的知識、面對社區精神病患的態度及護理自我效能之成效。本研究採結構式問卷橫斷性類實驗性設計,以台北縣29個鄉鎮市衛生所之110位公衛護士為研究對象。為了排除前測產生的影響,採所羅門四組式設計的類實驗法,以提供精神衛生教育及前測有無,分為2組實驗組。而以未提供精神衛生教育及前測有無組,分為2組控制組。研究結果發現:⑴「前測」的施行並不影響精神衛生教育結果。⑵「精神衛生教育」可明顯提高公衛護士對於精神疾病的相關知識;⑶「精神衛生教育」對改善其面對社區精神病患的態度不顯著;⑷「精神衛生教育」於公衛護士的自我效能,也無明顯增加。⑸受試者的年齡、婚姻狀況、職稱、工作年資、教育程度不影響「精神衛生教育」的介入之成效。公衛護士於問卷之質性建議希望能增加實務輔導或實習項目,建議未來研究可增加公衛實務輔導或實習項目之介入,以了解實務輔導介入後,公衛護士面對社區精神病患的態度及自我效能之改變成效。

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of mental health education on public health nurses' knowledge of mental disorders, self-efficacy and attitude toward patients in the local community. Cross-section and quasi-experimental designs were used in the survey, and the participants were 110 public health nurses from the 29 townships and cities of Taipei County. In order to exclude effects from previous tests, the Solomon Four-group Design was used. Two experimental groups received ”mental health education with or without a Pre-Test”. Two Control groups did not receive ”mental health education with or without a Pre-Test.” The results of this study demonstrated that: 1. The Pre-Test didn't affect the result of the survey. 2. There was significant evidence that education to promote knowledge of mental disorders will help public nurses in their knowledge of mental disorders and related issues. 3. There was no significant evidence that such education altered the nurses' attitudes toward the patients. 4. There was no significant evidence that the education improved nurses' self-efficacy. 5. The demographic data didn't affect the result of the study. Future studies could be suggested in methodologies to improve the nurses' attitude toward patients and nurses' self-efficacy.
