It is generally believed that there is a syllabic consonant 'ŋ' in the Xiamen dialect. When some consonants (p,t,k etc) are connected with 'ŋ', vowel 'ә' will appear between them. Luo Changpei thinks that this 'ә' is a glide. I think this 'ә' is not a glide, but is a nuclear syllable.
