政府政策形塑下的特色產業：北投的溫泉鄉與溫柔鄉（1894-1979）

北投特色產業一直以溫泉和情色兩個產業為主要代表，單只有溫泉，北投是一個美妙的溫泉鄉，若加入了情色，則成了溫柔鄉。在過去對於北投的研究，以陳惠滿對於北投整體溫泉情色產業的轉變研究的最為徹底，文章利用地理空間、政府政策、地方產業與文化交織出的北投，後續的北投研究多以此為基礎做延伸，以此，本文以此為一個範疇加以釐清，北投溫泉和情色產業相互關係，以及政府政策、國際局勢整個權力變化下對於北投溫泉情色文化的影響。兩個產業自日治時期開始便產生了相互依存的關係，但又可發現日治時期的溫泉在戰時體制下，溫泉泡湯可以很單純的是溫泉泡湯，反觀戰後因為泡湯文化不盛、政治經濟困境以及國際時局，像是國民政府播遷來台的影響，突破國際和經濟僵局的情況等等，因國際局勢的情況台灣也產生的因應的情況，連帶的影響到了北投的特色產業，使得戰後溫泉產業蕭條，而侍應生的出現又給予了溫泉產業活力，但這是溫泉文化嗎？應該說是溫柔鄉文化，泡湯不再是為了泡湯，直到溫柔鄉結束，溫泉產業再度蕭條，足見日治到戰後國民整府對於情色文化的政策和執行下的差異也都對北投特色產業產生的相當的影響。
