台灣「郵政正名運動」意義之研究-羅蘭巴特符號論的觀點

The Study on the Meanings of Taiwan"Post Re-name Action" - the Perspective of Ronald Barthes'Semiotics

摘要


本文意識到當今臺灣的政府政策常成為政治人物操盤的工具,因而失去原有的制度與功能,尤其近年來「臺灣正名運動」之推動已經凌駕實質政策推行。「郵政」在國營事業中,一直扮演乖乖牌的角色,舉凡每年盈餘繳庫或擔任股市穩定基金,無不配合國家政策勠力而為。然而執政當局因意識型態的執著,努力推動「正名運動」,也使其在當今台灣已經是媒體與公共政策上的一個熱門議題,因此想要進一步追問:究竟「正名運動」的實質效力為何?對此,本文認為存有多種可能研究途徑。本文另一方面試圖探討巴特的符號論,並將之應用於說明臺灣「郵政正名運動」。 本文將「郵政正名運動」看成一套神話(或說一個符號),然後藉由巴特的《神話學》中意義分析模式來指出此一符號的形式意義、實質意義及想像意義。本文深知,「理解」始終是「自我理解」,因此本文對於巴特的符號論及其在臺灣「郵政正名運動」的意義的詮釋與評價,畢竟也只是一種「自我理解」。 從巴特符號論來看臺灣「郵政正名運動」,執政黨為落實「民主」的內涵與「愛臺灣」的概念,突顯了臺灣本土意識的形式意義。政府欲以「正名運動」解決政治、經濟等結構性問題,喚起民眾認同,則構成「正名運動」的迷思。於是臺灣「郵政正名運動」,便不是如何改革郵政,而是透過本土文化意識,進而凝聚共同體意識。除此之外,目前在社會大眾的「理解」上,「正名運動」可以作為「愛臺灣」的縮影、「去中國化」的代稱、尤其以「臺灣之名」加入聯合國提升「臺灣」形象的形式等象徵。 由上可知,臺灣「郵政正名運動」的形式意義過大,本文因此認為臺灣「郵政正名運動」還未能成為一個具有集體認同性質的象徵符號。循此,本文一方面對於臺灣「郵政正名運動」的實質意義中所揭示,此一政策可能只是執政黨為轉移焦點議題,模糊當前所面臨的困境,尋求另一個台階下。對於臺灣「郵政正名運動」的想像意義中所揭露的政治動員的目的深感懷疑,且郵政員工、反對黨及社會大眾對「郵政正名運動」的推動,提出批判與質疑。 關鍵字詞:郵政正名運動、自我理解、正名運動

This text realizes nowadays the policy in Taiwan often becomes a tool which political personages scalped with, and therefore losing its original function, especially the push of the “ Taiwan re-name action” has already placed itself above the essence of policy. “Postal Service” among the state-run businesses, acts the part of soft line, all annual surplus pay national bank, provides funds to stabilize stock market and cooperates with the state in policies invariably. But the insistence derived from ideology of the authorities to promote “Re-name action”, makes it a popular issue in the media and the public nowadays. So we want to question the rightness of“Re-name action”? This text is to probe into the symbol theory of Bart and apply it to“Post re-name action”in Taiwan. “Post re-name action”is regard as one mythology in this text (or as a symbol). Then based on“ mythology study ”from Barthes to point out the formal, essential and imaginative meanings of “Post re-name action”. From the theory, we understand “comprehension” is “self-comprehension” essentially , so the evaluation of Roland Barthes’ symbolism and“Post re-name action”in the text is also nothing but a “self-comprehension”. From Symbolism of Roland Barthes , Taiwan’s“Post re-name action”promoted by the ruling party to fulfill democracy and “Love Taiwan”concepts intensifies the formal meaning of the consciousness of Taiwanese localization. Government wants to use“Post re-name action”to solve such structural problems in politics, and economy etc., and also to arouse the public identity and thus results in the myth of “ Re-name action”. Therefore the“Post re-name action”of Taiwan is not to reform the postal service, but to manipulate the consciousness of localization to form a sense of “a whole community”. In addition, the broad consensus from the public treats “Re-name sport”as the embodiment of“Love Taiwan”and “Desinicization”. This can be exemplified by the push to join the United Nations by using the name of “Taiwan” etc. From the above-mentioned reasons, the formal meaning of“Post re-name action”is too heavy. This text considers that“Post re-name action”fails to become a collectively identified symbol . Hence, this text here unilaterally announces that the essential meaning of “Post re-name action”is an action that the ruling party takes in order to shift the focus, disguising the predicaments they are facing now. The text suspects the purpose of the imaginative meanings revealed from “Post re-name action”. And here postal staff, opposition party and the public propose criticism and query on the move of “Post re-name action”. Key word:Post re-name action,self-comprehension,Re-name action
