物體系的豔 / 異敘事——《燈草和尚傳》新論

摘要


豔情小說是中國小說史發展過程的一個環節,並可將其視為明清性愛文化的切片,是故豔情小說乃是不能規避的小說文類。然《燈草和尚傳》在豔情小說中又屬特殊之作,採取志怪小說的書寫傳統,以物質想像出發,結合幻術、神通等非常性之敘述所開展而成,且文本中的主角「燈草和尚」身為三寸,卻為女性帶來性滿足,此與其他豔情小說中所呈現的「巨陽崇拜」有所殊異。 除此之外,《燈草和尚傳》的內容是由物質、怪異、性愛三者所構築而成的,換言之,此部小說所呈現出來的風格是由器物開展出來的豔異書寫。小說中具備的物質、怪異、性愛三種要素,恰恰回應了「物」與「豔異」自晚明以降形成的特殊文化、文學形態,或可將其視為是延續晚明「物」與「豔異」風格之作,小說中彰顯了晚明特殊的時代感。是故,本論文乃以清初豔情小說《燈草和尚傳》為個案研究。將以「物」、「豔異」作為研究《燈草和尚傳》的切入點,以宏觀視野與微觀細究的方式勾勒出其在豔情小說中的異性,並考察它與歷時性及共時性他類小說甚而是其他文本盤根錯節的連結性。 本論文主要內容分為三部分:第一部分以「物」為核心展開討論,檢視「物」義的更迭與其在《燈草和尚傳》的重疊。後聚焦於「燈具」上,梳理燈的物質形制與其在中國形成的文化記憶。第二部分旨在探討《燈草和尚傳》「豔異」之「異」,分從幻術與神通兩大面向進行論述,兼備歷時性與共時性及跨文本、跨文化的宏觀視野闡述此命題。第三部分則論析《燈草和尚傳》「豔異」之「豔」,擬以文本與身體的內外兩部分為論述次第,包括對和尚卅陽具象徵進行考察,後從情欲的身體轉向身體的情欲,考察小說中性別與空間關係,進一步論女性的情欲書寫與男性對女性的情欲想像。 總言之,筆者嘗試從物質、身體等概念審視《燈草和尚傳》中的豔異敘事,引入新的研究視野考察本有的文學傳統,希冀建立《燈草和尚傳》與豔情小說、其他文類的互涉關係。

The Legend of Deng Cao Religious is a special work in pornographic novels, which play an important role in Chinese literature, for two reasons. One is that it has different writing style, writing in the traditional way of fantastic novels, starting the story from the imagination of material substance objects combining magic and conjuration. The other reason is that it has a different point from the pornographic novels’ phallism for Deng Cao religious is only three inches high but he can satisfy women very well. The Legend of Deng Cao Religious, which is completed in the early period of the Qing Dynasty, is constructed with substance, unearthliness and sex, in other words, the novel is writing about unearthliness and sex from the description of substance. The three elements, substance, unearthliness and sex, just answer to the special culture and literature style of the late period of the Ming Dynasty. So we can say that The Legend of Deng Cao Religious is a novel follows the special culture of the Ming Dynasty. In this case study, I begin with the three elements of the novel, and then I try to find out the dissimilarities between the pornographic novels and The Legend of Deng Cao Religious. And, moreover, I research the connection with other kind of novels and even other kind of texts. There are three parts in this thesis. In the first part, I focus on the “substance”, finding out how substances described in The Legend of Deng Cao Religious. I study the lamps especially, researching their appearances and their meanings in Chinese culture memory. The second part is about “unearthliness”, it is including magic and conjuration. I will also studying “unearthliness’s Synchrony, Diachrony and its’ nature by the vision of cross-culture and cross-text. The third part is about the “sex”, including the “sex” inside and outside the body. In this part, I study the symbol of religious and penis, the relationship between sex and space and then discuss female’s desire and male’s sex imagination toward female. To sum up, I try to survey the story, The Legend of Deng Cao Religious, from the concept of substance and body by new way and a broader vision. I hope to find out the relationship between The Legend of Deng Cao Religious and pornographic novels, and other kind of text.
