This study aims to explore the strength difference of five traits (i.e., self-efficacy, low neuroticism, conscientiousness, and locus of control) on three types of training goal orientation. We found that self-efficacy had the most positive effect on learning goal orientation of the five traits. For proving goal orientation, self-efficacy and consciousness were observed to own stronger impact on this goal orientation among the five traits. On the other hand, internals was found to have the most negative effect on avoidance goal orientation of the five traits. This study also found that locus of control and emotional stability had no significant impact on proving goal orientation. For the impact power on training motivation, the two traits also showed weaker strength than the others. The practical implications and future research directions are discussed.
