Facility use by residents during normal times will influence the selection of public designated evacuation centers, such as schools, activity centers, and parks. Habits of daily use at public facilities are regarded as a foundation to improve evacuation effectiveness during disasters. This paper's research method regards residents' gender, age, community attribution, and length of residency as independent variables, and facility selection, use frequency, use purpose, and facility shortcomings as dependent variables. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) and a t-test were used to explore the relationship and interaction between background variables and facility variables. Based on analysis outcomes, substantial suggestions will be provided to improve the preparedness of hardware and software for public facilities.
