摘要

如何整合教學與研究在商管學術領域是一個重要、但鮮少被探討的議題。在西方，教學與研究往往同床異夢，但在東方，依照傳統的「合一（oneness）」哲學，教學和研究應該是一體的。相較於西方同儕，尊崇儒家傳統的華人學者會投身於超越教學與研究發表的工作；他們的首要任務是成為一名受人敬重的教師，並且秉持關照大我的倫理原則去教育各式各樣的學生。本文以動態競爭這個發展於西方的管理主題為例，說明教學與研究如何達到平衡與整合，落實東方傳統的教育理念。藉此，本文期望彌合教學與研究之間長期存在的鴻溝，對試圖把理論引進課堂的學者或希望拓展研究範疇的研究者，提供一個參考的範例。最後，本文提出一個根本的問題：管理等應用學科領域中的學術（scholarship），在現代中國和全球的範疇下究竟有何意義？
