Analysis of gait parameters and real-time monitoring for parkinson’s disease patients

The purpose of this study is to design a gait analysis system, the device mainly consists of a wearable gait analysis system and a real-time monitoring. The wearable gait analysis system integrates accelerometer, Force-Sensitive Resistor, Bluetooth, microcontroller, and software. Real-time monitoring system developed,real-time monitoring system receives signals of a wearable gait device to monitor the motor status of PD patients in real time, including gait parameters:steps、step_frequency、variability rate and real-time detection FOG occurred. Finally, save the gait parameters for analysis and discussion . The developed wearable gait analysis is to be tested on PD patients, and hopefully it can suitably and adaptively improve PD patient’s gait disorders. Hence, a personal health closed loop detection and response capabilities, is developed for the improvements of self-management and quality of living for PD.
