相思樹花應用於抗氧化花茶之潛能

Potential Application of Acacia Confusa Flowers for Antioxidant Herb Tea

摘要


本研究為了探討相思樹(Acacia confusa Merr.)花應用於抗氧化保健產品之可行性,乃將相思樹花以熱水萃取,評估其抗氧化活性,並與市面上常見4種花茶(洋甘菊、桂花、玫瑰以及茉莉)熱水抽出物之抗氧化活性進行比較;同時,並將相思樹花熱水抽出物中之抗氧化成分予以分離、鑑定。由清除DPPH(1, 1-Diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl)自由基之能力與還原力之試驗結果顯示,相思樹花之效果與洋甘菊相當,並且優於茉莉;至於清除超氧自由基的能力,相思樹花則優於洋甘菊以及茉莉。此外,相思樹花之總酚類化合物含量約為洋甘菊或茉莉的兩倍。由此得知,相思樹花之抗氧化活性足以與市面上之花茶相抗衡。又相思樹花熱水抽出物的HPLC分析結果顯示,其主要成分為高抗氧化活性之化合物Myricitrin、Quercitrin及Europetin-3-rhamnoside。

To investigate the application feasibility of Acacia confusa flowers to antioxidant products, antioxidant activities of their hot water extract were evaluated and compared with four flowers (Matricaria chamomilia, Osmanthus fragrans, Rose rugosa, and Jasminum sambac). The major antioxidant compounds of hot water extract from A. confusa flowers were also isolated and identified. Results from DPPH (1, 1-Diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) radical scavenging and reducing power assays showed that activities of A. confusa flowers are equal to those of M. chamomilia and better than those of J. sambac. For the scavenging superoxide radical activity, A. confusa is better than M. chamomilia and J. sambac. Furthermore, the total phenolic content of A. confusa is about twice as much as that of M. chamomilia or J. sambac. Results obtained indicated that antioxidant activities of A. confusa flowers are comparable with those of flowers avaliable on market. Results from HPLC analyses revealed that myricitrin, quercitrin and europetin-3-rhamnoside are three major antioxidant constituents of hot water extract from A. confusa flowers.
