如同全球許多國家，澳洲也有未持有效簽證，卻全圖非法入境的人民。照護非法移民的護理人員，有責任更深入瞭解他們的照護對象。針對此議題，有二個主要問題必須考慮。首先，是非法移民的論述歸類；其次，是在照護這群弱勢族群時，護理人員應該納入的考量。護理人員應要發展一套系統，連結護理與其他健康和人類服務相關的專業人員。必須制定詳細的治療和管理計畫，並滿足所有相關人員的教育和訓練需求。

Australia, like many countries around the world, has people who seek to enter unexpectedly without a valid visa. It is the responsibility of the nurse working with unexpected arrivals to learn more about their client. Two main issues are needed to briefly address. Firstly, the discursive categorization of people who arrive unexpectedly and secondly, some considerations that nurses need to think about when working with this vulnerable group of people. Nurses should ensure that a system has been developed that links the nurse to other health and human service professionals. Detailed treatment and management plans must be established and education and training needs to be provided for all relevant personnel.
