Foreign domestic workers, also known as migrant domestic workers, spread all over the world under the phenomenon of global population migration. They leave their origin countries and migrate to work at destination countries. Changes in the environment affect the living and health conditions of these people. Under the implementation of the law on the employment of foreign employees in Macao, there are now about 30,000 foreign domestic workers. Due to the differences in social culture and language, the health status of foreign domestic workers is of great concern. Therefore, this article aims to review literatures, to explore the social determinants of the health of foreign domestic workers in Macao through the rainbow model of Dahlgren and Whitehead. It was found that the social determinants of health of this population are unsatisfactory, including living and working conditions, language and cultural adaption. Thus, this article puts forward suggestions for the health of foreign domestic workers.
