The cognitive, emotional and behavioral tendencies derived from employees' facing new technologies in their work processes, may affect the effectiveness of the digital optimization of enterprises. This study employed the concept of the technology readiness index (TRI) to measure users' behavioral tendency towards new technology. This refers to important workability and achievement goals that are accentuated by the hotel employees' core competence. This study reconstructed the TRI measurement to evaluate the hotel employees' tendency to use mobile management applications based on four dimensions: optimism, innovation, discomfort, and insecurity indicators and put forward 26 primary selection indicators of technology readiness. After two rounds of modifying the Delphi method. A consensus of 23 indicators was reached through the survey results from 18 experts. Furthermore, hotel employees who used the mobile management application were recruited as the subjects of the questionnaire survey. Consequently, a total of 317 valid questionnaires were collected. Confirmatory factor analysis results show that the Technology Readiness Scale proposed in this study is reliable and valid. The results of this study will help companies seek suitable potential employees during the recruitment process, or help existing employees develop their literacy of technological growth through scale testing.
