Bibliometric Analysis on Heritage Tourism: Applications and Developments
摘要
「商品之於消費者，猶如目的地之於遊客」。旅遊是現代社會不可或缺的活動。雖然遺址旅遊是全球最大且成長最快的旅遊市場之一，但鮮少有系統性文獻回顧來探究其內涵與發展軌跡。本研究採計量文獻分析法，透過SCOPUS資料庫並以"遺址旅遊"單一關鍵字搜尋1990年至2023年間的英文期刊。在2454份文獻中發現：遺址旅遊文獻發展呈現逐年增加的趨勢。期刊則集中在Sustainability、Tourism Management和Annals of Tourism Research。值得注意的是，台灣名列遺址旅遊TOP-10發表國家的第六位，贏過韓國的十一名及日本的二十一名。顯見台灣本身即使沒有被列入世界遺產的遺址，但在研究能量仍具有一定競爭力。本研究另外揭露遺址旅遊的五大研究熱點-文化旅遊、地質旅遊、體驗、永續性與動機，進而繪製遺址旅遊的策略藍圖。最後本研究也提出討論、比較分析與結論以利研究者對遺址旅遊的了解。

"Product is to the consumer what destination is to a tourist." Travel is an indispensable activity in modern society. Heritage tourism, a major and rapidly growing market lacks a systematic literature review on its content and development. This study employs bibliometric analysis, using the SCOPUS database and conducting a keyword search for English journal articles on heritage tourism from 1990 to 2023. Among 2,454 articles, it was found that the trend of heritage tourism has shown a gradual increase each year. Journals with a focus on sustainability, tourism management, and the Annals of Tourism Research were included in the analysis. It is worth noting that Taiwan ranks sixth among the top 10 countries in the publication of heritage tourism, surpassing South Korea (11th) and Japan (21st). This indicates that Taiwan, even without its own UNESCO-listed heritage sites, still maintains a competitive research presence. Moreover, this study identifies five key research hotspots in heritage tourism: cultural tourism, geological tourism, experiences, sustainability, and motivations, thereby drawing a strategic blueprint for heritage tourism. Finally, this study concludes with discussions, comparative analyses, and findings to facilitate researchers' understanding of heritage tourism.
