Identification of a Feline Panleukopenia Virus Isolated in Taiwan

自台灣分離之貓汎白血球缺乏症病毒

我們自一貓糞便病材中分離到一株貓小病毒。病材是取自一隻因持續嘔吐及食慾不振而至台大家畜醫院就診的病例,血液檢查的結果顯示其患有嚴重之汎白血球缺乏症。一貓細胞株CRFK對此病毒具有感受性而另一犬細胞株A-72則否。接種病材之細胞經固定後,以此痊癒病貓之血清進行間接螢光抗體染色,可以明顯地觀察到位於細胞核內之陽性螢光反應。糞便和接種病材的細胞之培養液中,皆含有高力價之病毒抗原,能與豬紅血球細胞於4℃下進行血球凝集反應。經負染色後以電子顯微鏡觀察,可看見大量直徑約20 nm之小病毒顆粒。將此病毒以單株抗體進行血球凝集抑制試驗,鑑定其為貓汎白血球缺乏症病毒。本報告證實了貓汎白血球缺乏症病毒之野外毒株存在於台灣。

One strain of feline parvovirus was isolated from feces of a panleukopenic cat admitted to National Taiwan University Veterinary Hospital with chief complaints of depression, inappetence, and persistent vomiting. A feline cell line CRFK was susceptible to it while a canine fibroma cell line A-72 was not. Intranuclear inclusion bodies within virus infected cells could be demonstrated by staining with indirect immunofluorescence assay. Fecal suspension and culture fluid collected from the inoculated cells contained hemagglutinin that agglutinated with pig red blood cells at 4°C . Electron microscope examination presented a large number of 20 nm in diameter virus particles within the samples. This virus was identified as a feline panleukopenia virus (FP V) by the hemagglutination-inhibition test performed with monoclonal antibodies. This report confirms the existence of virulent FPV in Taiwan.
