摘要


以尿素甲醛初期反應液取代雙羥甲基尿素直接與間苯二酚行共縮合所得之RUF膠,由本試驗結果證明其膠合效果比UF/RF及UF/RUF混合之複合膠良好,且保存性甚佳。唯需於中、高溫硬化始能硬化完全。所有合成的RUF膠對鐵杉及冰片樹之膠合性質均甚為理想;對光臘樹之膠合,則以合成條件50°C共縮合4小時者性質最好。

In this study, RUF resin adhesives were synthesized by condensation reaction with resorcinol and methylolated urea mixture which was the initial products of urea and formaldehyde reaction in an alkaline condition. The synthetic methods and characteristics of these adhesives were investigated. Meanwhile, the factors, namely, FlU molar ratio, reaction time, reaction temperature and hardener dosage, which affected the bonding properties and durability of the adhesives were also examined. The results are summarized as in the following: 1. In U-F condensation reaction of a certain FlU molar ratio, the quantity of free formaldehyde decreases firstly with the increasing of the condensation time. It then increases with increasing of the reaction time. As a whole, it changes scarcely during the period of the condensation time. 2. To ensure its bonding ability, the curing temperature of RUF resin adhesives must be higher than 70°C. 3. In the condensation reaction of resorcinol and the methylolated urea mixture, it is easier to control the reaction temperature by dropping the mixture into resorcinol aqueous solution than to reverse the sequence. 4. The hardener dosage used for the curing of the RUF resin is most suitable, if it is applied stoichiometrically. 5. RUF resins synthesized with higher F/U molar ratios show better. resin adhesive, UF/RF alloy bonding qualJty. 6. The fortifying effects of resorcinol on RUF resins are better than that on UF/RF and UF/RUF respectively.
