木質芳香安全黏土之開發製作

摘要

本試驗以檜木、柳杉、樟木等芳香木材之廢料配合可食用無毒之原料，並選出適當之比例，製作芳香黏土。黏土之硬度可經由木粉比例調整。食鹽對黴菌生長有抑製功能，同時成品含水率之控制比添加丙酸鈉更能減少黴菌的發生。所製作之天然芳香安全黏土並經過兩所幼稚園學童試用，其效果良好。

The natural fragrant clay for kids was made by mixing saw-dust and shavings from species of Taiwan cypress, Japanese fir, and Camphor tree with edible raw materials. The proper formula was recommended, and the softness of clay could be easily adjusted by increasing the percentage of sawdust. The salt functions well in prohibiting the growth of bacteria and mold. Furthermore, in this study, the approach to prevent the occurrence of mold by controlling the moisture of clay showed better results than that of applying sodium propionate. A survey on characteristics of products was performed at two kindergartens and showed positive responses.
