台灣地區不同最終用途木材消費現況分析－1998

本研究之目的在（1）分析台灣地區木材消費趨勢，（2）推估台灣地區主要最終用途的木材消費情形。由於各不同最終用途的市場，性質不同，蒐集的資料也是不同來源，故無法做精確的統計分析。因此僅用使用因素法和問卷調查法來推估不同最終用途的木材消費現況。最終用途包括有合板用材、房屋建築用材、家具與木器用材、紙漿用材、木箱及棧板用材、枕木用材、學校課桌椅用材、鉛筆用材、坑木用材、電桿用材、棺木用材、貨櫃用材和其他用材等。1998年，木材總消費量約為495萬m^3，其中超過99%為進口材，在4種主要的最終用途中，用於房屋建築用材佔23.2%，用於紙漿用材佔21.6%，用於製造家具與木器佔15.8%，用於製造合板佔29.1%。

The objectives of this study were to (1) analyze wood consumption trend and (2) estimate wood consumption of different end uses in Taiwan. Because of different nature of each end use and quality of data sources, rigorous statistical analysis was not possible. The use-factor approach and provincewide mail survey were conducted to estimate wood consumption of different end uses. The end uses considered were plywood, housing construction , furniture and woodworkings, pulpwood, wooden pallets, crossties, school desks and chairs, pencils, coal mines, utility poles, coffins, containers, and miscellaneous uses. Results show that total wood consumption in 1998 was 4.95 million cubic meters, of which more than 99 percent was imported. For major end uses, i.e., housing construction, pulpwood, furniture and woodworkings and plywood, accounted for 23.2%, 21.6%, 15.8% and 29.1% of the total wood consumption, respectively.
