Microbial survey on 254 samples of imported frozen food were proceeded during August 1985 through June 1986. The results showed that 87 samples (34.3%) failed to meet the Frozen Food Hygienic Standard. The detection ratio of coliform and E. coli were 7.5%, and 0.8% respectively. Although the hygienic status of frozen food sampled from supermarkets was better than that from groceries, but there was no significant difference in the detection ratios between the sampleing places.
