柳杉材等級區分法及銅烷基銨化合物防腐處理之抗彎性質探討

Investigation of Various Grading Methods of Cryptomeria japonica and Bending Properties of ACQ-treated specimen

摘要


本研究利用不同等級區分法及防腐處理前後之抗彎性質,評估柳杉原木形質與製材利用率之關係。研究結果顯示原木徑級與製材利用率相關性雖低,但仍有隨原木徑級提高而提升製材利用率的現象。再者,由於本研究選用通直的柳杉原木,腐朽及幹空等缺點較少,而主要影響目視分等等級高低的因素為節的大小及數量,因此本試驗之原木製材利用率不受目視分等等級影響。此外,由防腐後柳杉試材之超音波動彈性模數(DMOE_u)>打音動彈性模數(DMOE_t)>機械應力分等之抗彎彈性模數(MOE_(MSR))>靜態抗彎彈性模數(MOE_(Static))的分析結果指出非破壞檢測方法(Nondestructive testing,NDT)與機械應力等級區分(Machine stress rated,MSR)設備均較萬能強度試驗機所測得之抗彎彈性模數(MOE)的值高。最後,由評估柳杉於銅烷基銨化合物(ACQ-1)防腐處理前後之MOE_(MSR)與抗彎性質之相關性可得知MSR設備可有效評估木材抗彎性質,且能快速的完成機械分等作業。

This study evaluated the relationship between log quality and lumber recovery of Cryptomeria japonica by different grading methods and bending properties before and after ACQ treatment. The results showed a low correlation between log diameter and lumber recovery, but an increase of lumber recovery was found with log diameter. In addition, this study used straight C. japonica logs with fewer defects, the major factor affecting the level of visual grading was found to be the size and number of knots. Therefore, the visual grading did not affect the lumber recovery in this test. Besides, based on the analysis result of DMOE_u>DMOE_t> MOE_(MSR) > MOE_(Static), it pointed out that the MOE measured by nondestructive testing (NDT) and machine stress rated (MSR) were both higher than universal strength testing machine. At last, from the evaluation of the correlation between the MOE_(MSR) and the bending properties of the C. japonica before and after the alkaline copper quats (ACQ-1) treatment, it indicated that MSR equipment can effectively evaluate the timber bending properties, and can quickly complete mechanical grading operations.
