Soil Erodibility and Soil Loss of Southern Taiwan

臺灣南部土壤沖蝕性及流失量之估算

摘要


Soil samples collected from 52 sites in Southern Taiwan were estimated their K values via Wischmeier's monographical method. According to the earlier designation, we find that twenty Kaohsiung soils and twelve Pingtung soils are of medium erodibility, and other twenty soils are of low erodibility. Soil loss prediction vas made using the Universal Soil Loss Equation, USLE. The results show that twenty two saupling, sites at Kaohsiung and eighteen at Pingtung have a plus sign of A T dieating that these sites need to adjust some parameter values for controlling erosion. In most cases, the topographic factor needs to be adjusted even at the sites where the soil is of low erodibility.

台灣南部土壤,高雄地區多屬中蝕性,約佔5/6,少數爲低蝕性;屏東地區則以低蝕性居多,約佔4/7,其餘爲中蝕性。兩地皆無高蝕性土壤。土壤流失高雄地區極爲嚴重,僅兩地點在容許流失量之下;屏東地區流失情形較好,在28取樣地點中有10處流失量小於容許流失量。兩地區凡是流失量大於容許流失量地點,大都是由於地形因子--坡度大,坡長太長──所致,極少部份由其他因子引起。
